Living in Texas for over 40 years has allowed me to see, smell, taste and touch many medicinal plants that have amazing properties and observed health benefits. For any “Doubting Thomas” readers it is well documented that the majority of prescription and Over The Counter (OTC) medicines had their origins from observing its use as a plant-based medicine first. Scientists like to take credit for synthetic compounds that can provide some biochemical benefit, in spite of being a health hazard with adverse reactions and side effects. Our common-sense reveals that Mother Nature knows best and a full spectrum plant with the natural factors and cofactors is our best choice for medicinal benefits.
Medicinal Plants in Texas
The majority of people are not getting the quality and quantity of nutrient-dense organic whole foods their body needs. As a result, the body is missing key components needed for digestive, genetic, hormonal, immune and mitochondrial health and peak performance. While there are many reasons for this, our health and nutrition are within our control when we have helpful education. With so many people struggling with health issues it seemed like a great time to focus on medicinal plants in Texas and the United States that are relatively easy to access. This is important only if you are concerned about your long term health and well being.
Some of the top reasons people have health issues and low energy is from consuming fake, fast, fried and junk foods. Most of these Frankenfoods are made with Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) canola, corn, cottonseed, soy, and sugar (HFCS) health hazard ingredients. These GMO plants come from depleted soils that use large amounts of chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides which are serious health hazards. My goal is to help people choose nutrient-dense beverages and foods that can offer substantial levels of natural and synergistic antioxidants, enzymes, fiber, minerals, phytonutrients, trace elements, and vitamins. Eating a variety of medicinal plants which are nutrient-dense organic whole foods with minimal heating, processing and refining promote optimal health.
