Plastic Free July is a great movement to help people avoid plastic poison and plastic pollution. How happy and healthy is your body and brain? Many articles are revealing how harmful plastic poisons and plastic pollution are to our biosphere, body and brain. Many are focusing attention on various chemicals and synthetic compounds within plastic which cause or contribute to body and brain health issues. Researchers and scientists are learning more about the dangers of plastic poisons and plastic pollution every day. These are affecting the quality of our life and longevity as well as that of animals, birds and reptiles. Today we discuss the potential health hazards from prolonged expose to plastic poisons and plastic pollution. Then we shift gears to look at the numerous shifts in behaviors, beliefs and benefits that can help reverse, slow and even stop the deterioration of our body and brains caused by plastics. Many people are experiencing body and brain health issues and many indicators are pointing to plastics being a major cause. Plastic poisons and toxins may well be some of the most detrimental and least understood factors harming our health and well being. My intention is to help educate and inspire more people to learn about health hazards related to plastics and what can be done to prevent them. Avoidance, prevention and removal are the best ways to minimize the detrimental effects from plastics to our brain and brain. As a long term personal fitness, health and nutrition coach and trainer I discovered a variety of skills, solutions, strategies and systems to promote better body and brain health. Over the years it has been important to research various health hazards and learn strategies to best serve me, my clients and future visitors to our Belize Eco Village community wellness center project.
Plastic Poison and Plastic Pollution
While plastics made from petroleum products are a relatively new invention they have become a major part of almost every facet of the world we live in. Many researchers and scientists are discovering that the chemicals in plastics are harming us and the world we live in. While many companies and people want you to believe plastics are beneficial, necessary and safe there are many people who are questioning the sanity and wisdom of so many plastic products in our lives. Unfortunately it is well documented that chemicals in plastics are well documented to damage our bodies and brains. Evidence indicates they can cause us to experience disease, hormonal issues, immune system dysfunction, sickness, weakness and even death. Chemicals in plastics can cause serious harm and death depending on the amount duration and type of exposure. All chemicals in plastic have serious consequences and side effects over time.
Many people are discovering that chemicals in plastics are not healthy or normal even if they appear useful for improving various area of our lives. They feel that we are being overloaded, overwhelmed and over poisoned by the excessive over use and misuse of plastics in so many products in our lives. Significant evidence is indicating that chemicals in plastics are the major factors involving health hazards, poisons and toxins which are the major contributors to the death, deformities, disabilities and disease we see around us. We are currently experiencing an avalanche of health issues since companies and scientists began unleashing a tsunami of plastics made with hazardous chemicals and synthetic compounds into almost every aspect of our daily lives. We are literally surrounded by plastic toxins in our air, clothing, food, homes, land, water and work sites.
As mentioned in previous blog posts there is significant disinformation and misinformation designed to prevent us from knowing the truth about chemicals in plastics that are health hazards. . While plastics can cause serious disease and health hazards there are many ways to prevent and protect yourself from plastics. My years of research for the best health, nutrition and wellness programs and protocols has lead me to some great ideas, insights and inspiration for preventing and protecting against various plastic health hazards. My research has directed me to finding great resources and role models to help improve our health in a holistic way long term.
Chemicals in Plastics are Health Hazards
Many of the top chemicals and synthetic compounds found in plastics are serious health hazards. Unfortunately there are usually no legal disclosures, labels, warnings and waivers regarding the health hazards found in plastics. Common chemicals and synthetic compounds found in plastics include: BPA, BPS, HDPE, LDPE, Dioxins, PCB’s, DDT, Polyethylene, Phthalates and PVC. Most of these are known to be endocrine disruptors and probable carcinogens. Unfortunately plastics have been deployed, designed and developed to be in almost every aspect of our lives. Plastic poisons and plastic pollution are affecting the air, land and waters of the world and thus harming all creatures large and small.
- Chemicals in plastics are used for building and treating apartments and homes.
- Fabrics and materials for carpets, cars, clothing, furniture and homes use plastics and synthetic fabrics.
- Communities use massive amounts of plastics with chemical additives in building various infrastructures.
- Petroleum products are made into various plastics and use large amounts of chemicals, and synthetic compounds harmful to our health
- Plastic is one of the most common packaging materials and the majority seems to be winding up as either land fill or plastic pollution.
Plastic bags and bottles are winding up as plastic poison and plastic pollution around the globe and contaminating our lakes, rivers and oceans. If Zanzibar can ban plastic bags what can your country do to eliminate plastic? Belize could learn a lot from Zanzibar because Belize has done very little to stop the use of plastic bags and bottles which are a danger and eye sore to the people and wildlife of beautiful Belize.
The top sources of plastic poisons and plastic pollution include common products like plastic bags, bottles, car parts, carpets, clothing, coatings, containers, fabrics, jars, material, packing material, pipes, plumbing, storage containers, toys and water bottles. We are literally surrounded by and touching plastic every day. Is it any mystery that plastic is affecting almost every aspect of our health and well being?
